Chapter 4 – Forever Friends

Many of our friends are depressed and grieving as they journey through the many losses associated with entering a nursing home. Because of their painful experiences, some will avoid contact with other residents and staff, trying to work through their grief in isolation. The compassion and encouragement of a caring friend who knows what it is like to be in this situation can be invaluable and life-giving. Jesus directs His followers to be willing to take the first steps in starting caring friendships within our community.
